Our man Josh McClean has built a reputation for his Ryno-like charge down the first straight. You better believe that it was on full display down the Nashville Drag Strip this past weekend!

All weekend long, Josh laid down heaters each round. But during staging for Sunday’s main, something must have clicked. Josh put down arguably the best first straight of his career and holeshot the entire Elite Men final by a comfortable margin. From there, Josh continued to tear down each of the straights and back to the stripe. His valiant effort was enough to secure his first USA BMX Pro Series Main Event win against the likes of Connor Fields, Corbin Sarrah, and many more!

The action continued to heat up as the Amateurs still needed to lay down their main event laps.

14 Expert Sean Day was on rails around the Music City track, just one main short of pulling a flawless weekend! Sean took home the win when it mattered most, though, scoring a 1st place result in one of the largest classes of the weekend (61 riders). It’s no surprise to see Sean running out front as it’s just what the kid seems to do, but his consistency to do so is what impresses us the most!

What About The Ladies?

Oh, don’t worry, the women came to play too in Nashville, Tennessee. Arguably the highlight of the weekend came from Factory rider, Olivia Armstrong, scoring her first-ever USA BMX Pro Series Elite Women Podium!

Stephani Morin, who has been on and off the National Circuit recently, had to come out and show the 17-20 expert ladies that she’s still got it! Stephani scored two podium results over the weekend, taking home a pair of respectable 3rd place finishes.

Until The Next One…

Only a few short weeks of rest before things kick off at Pro Series Stop #6, Rockford, Illinois. Similar to this weekend, the first straight speed will be critical as we’re heading to another drag strip. Perhaps Mac Attack will come out on top again with his stellar straight-line speed? Maybe Olivia can inch closer to a Pro Series win? Perhaps a new armature rider could step up and steal the Pro’s thunder with a shocking result! Only time will tell.. Till next time, check back here shortly after the Rockford weekend for another full race report highlighting some of the best rides of the weekend.
